Lake Idamere Miracle Field

Miracle Field at Lake Idamere Park in Tavares, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and community support. A Miracle Field is a specialized ball field thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of children and adults with disabilities, fostering an environment where everyone can enjoy the joys of recreational sports.

The field itself is surfaced with rubber, providing a supportive and accessible terrain particularly advantageous for wheelchair-bound players. Extending beyond the field, encapsulating the entire facility. The design of the building is a testament to this ethos, integrating primary elements, materials, and features specifically intended to invigorate the senses of those who will utilize the space.

In a playful yet purposeful fashion, primary colors such as red, blue, green, and yellow have been carefully woven into the design, creating a vibrant and visually engaging atmosphere. The incorporation of primary shapes—circles, squares, and triangles—adds a dynamic and human-scale quality to the design, creating an exciting composition that resonates with the patrons, especially children and young adults.

The building itself is a multifaceted hub catering to various needs. Comprising of ten individual ADA accessible restrooms, a concession stand, and designated areas for electrical and field storage, it is a testament to thoughtful planning. The central corridor breezeway holds a special purpose, serving as a versatile space for trophy and award presentations, adding an extra layer of community celebration and recognition.
