Neighborhood Lakes Trailhead Facility

Located at the crossroads within the tri-county trail system connecting Orange, Seminole, and Lake County, the Neighborhood Lakes Trail emerges as Lake County's latest trail venture. Positioned along SR 46, this trail system converges at a central point featuring a state-of-the-art trail and trailhead building.

This hub is poised to cater to a diverse community of enthusiasts, including equestrians, cyclists, birdwatchers, and the general public, providing a gateway to explore the scenic trails, captivating views, and the untouched beauty of Florida's preserved landscape.

The envisioned Neighborhood Lakes Trailhead Facility is anticipated to offer a range of amenities, including:

  • Reception
  • Concession
  • Bicycle shop
  • Multi-Purpose Room
  • Banquet Area
  • Meeting Room
  • Nature/Educational Room
  • Offices
  • Storage/Closets
  • Electrical & Mechanical Rooms
  • Men’s & Women’s multi-station restrooms
  • Observation Deck

In preliminary planning, the trailhead building is designed as a two-story, heavy timber facade, seamlessly blending with the natural essence of the park while presenting a modern aesthetic. Encompassing approximately 30,000 square feet, the structure could incorporate additional exterior seating and balcony areas, enhancing the overall visitor experience.

Complementary to the main facility, support structures like the Trailhead Maintenance and Storage Facility are also in the blueprint, offering essential components such as storage for equipment and materials.

The Neighborhood Lakes Trail & Trailhead project promises to be a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, fostering a connection with nature and providing a multifaceted recreational experience within the heart of Lake County's picturesque landscape.
